Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Near Surface Senior Supervisor, you will be part of the Near Surface Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Ensure the safety of the team by applying a zero harm approach to all tasks performed;
- Plan, organize, lead and control resources to ensure loading and hauling targets are met;
- Monitor and analyze equipment availability against targets and respond as required;
- Follow the daily, weekly and monthly pit and dump/stockpile operational plans;
- Communicate production information and changes to Technical Services, Mine Maintenance and the Process Plant to minimize production delays;
- Proficiency in Short Interval Controls to make data driven decisions on resources and manpower;
- Assess employee performance and coaching appropriate actions as required;
- Promote a climate of trust and participation.
What You Need To Succeed
- Minimum high school diploma or GED with extensive open pit experience; or degree in mining or related field with operations experience;
- Minimum five (5) years’ supervisory experience in an underground mining operation;
- Proven commitment to safety, health and environmental best practices;
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills;
- Valid Ontario driver’s license;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days off at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
