We are seeking an engaging and safety-focused
Asset Health Supervisor (Mobile Equipment Maintenance MEM) to join our MEM Asset Health team at West Angelas. You will be responsible for providing leadership in safely executing Asset Health activities for your team of MEM, as well as Fixed Plant personnel at a site level ensuring team performance is in line with short term objectives. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your technical knowledge to effectively coordinate execution of work.
You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team.
Reporting to the Superintendent MEM, the role will require you to
- Adhere to all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures
- Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices
- Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties
- Lead, coach and develop a team of MEM/Fixed Plant Asset Health personnel
- Organise and manage the execution of MEM/Fixed Plant Asset Health work performed
- Responsible for MEM Asset Health training, safety compliance, scheduling and productivity
- Manage MEM/Fixed Plant Asset Health activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact
- Define staffing and development needs of MEM/Fixed Plant Asset Health team members
- Ensure compliance to relative legislation, including statutory obligations
- Develop and roll out daily work plans that are consistent with work schedules and operational priorities
- Support management of the maintenance team budget to achieve business outcomes
- Create and plan work orders for current scheduling week
- Manage key safety investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Check notifications daily to determine clarity and accuracy, and liaise closely with the Planner and Scheduler to review new notifications and assign accountability
- Manage Asset Health watchlist, escalation of asset defects and be the site SME for Asset Health practices
What You’ll Bring
- A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (manual)
- Relevant trade qualification or Engineering degree (electrical/mechanical)

Where you’ll be working
Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Busselton or Broome depending on the role requirements. Operational since 2002, it was the first site to be incorporated into our Mine of the Future™ programme, trialling autonomous trucks and drills that are now fully embedded into the operations. An expansion to the accommodation village, gym and recreational facilities on site offer exceptional living.
