About The Role

We are looking for an Electrical Planner who will be accountable for planning various maintenance work fronts to support the safe and efficient preparation and execution of maintenance at Dampier Ports. This role is suited to a highly motivated individual who is passionate about being part of the solution, driving positive outcomes and has a desire to develop their knowledge in maintenance planning.
Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Scheduling, you will
- Create and manage executable work orders aligned to maintenance strategy, asset condition and business long term plans.
- Ensure accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and parts availability for electrical maintenance work.
- Collaborate with schedulers, maintenance supervisors and contractor management supervisors to optimise planning.
- Analyse work orders, problem solve potential challenges and improve planning efficiency.
- Review planned spend versus actual spend as well as document changes and improvement actions to budget. Escalate any major variances of actual vs planned spend.
- Facilitate meetings and liaise with key stakeholders to discuss work order priorities, key drivers and critical path for upcoming plant shutdowns.
About You
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have

- Demonstrated experience in electrical planning and/or fixed plant electrical assets.
- Solid experience in SAP as well as MS Office tools.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills.
- Process driven with knowledge on the Work Management Process (identify, plan, schedule, perform, record and analyse)
- The ability to communicate effectively, work and interact with others in a dynamic environment.
- C Class licence.
Where you’ll be working
You will benefit from the vibrant coastal location working a 9-day fortnight.
Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.

This role is for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia. Rio Tinto offers Fly in and fly out options from Perth, our regional FIFO hubs and the opportunity to live in our residential towns where applicable.
