Metso has finalized the sale of the Tampere foundry in Finland to TEVO

Metso has finalized the sale of the Tampere foundry, announced December 19, 2014, to the Finnish company TEVO Oy. The business was transferred to the new owner on April 13, 2015. The sales price will not be disclosed. In conjunction with the sale, all foundry personnel transferred to TEVO Oy with their existing employment contracts.

The new service center offers the latest technology and know-how to carry out high-quality maintenance and repair work on Metso and third-party devices, such as valves, actuators and pumps. The service center's primary customer base consists of customers in the oil and gas, pulp and paper, and mining industries.

Metso strengthens its complete offering for mining customers by acquiring certain intellectual property rights related to Rexnord’s Falk Mill Products business

Metso has acquired from the US-based company Rexnord Industries, LLC certain intellectual property rights related to Rexnord's Falk Mill Products business. The acquisition allows Metso to provide replacement gears and pinions for its customers utilizing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) drawings and specifications for mills and kilns purchased through Metso and certain other end users.
