The 12 to 18 month outlook for the US steel industry has changed to positive from stable, Moody’s Investors Service says in a new report.

Better outlook comes on the back of rising prices, improving capacity utilization and declining imports.

Although the strategy will completely phase out coal emissions in Alberta by 2030, the timeframe provides power operators the opportunity to transition away from coal toward renewable fuel sources.
