Uralkaliy OAO said potassium chloride production was 2.9 million tonnes in Q2, besting the 2011 quarter by 300,000 tonnes.
This year’s H1 is also up. The company says production is 4.8 million tonnes compared to last year’s H1, which was 3.1 million tonnes.
Urkali has 20% of the world’s market share and operates in the towns of Berezniki and Solikamsk.
