The ground breaking ceremony (also known as Bhumi Pujan) on October 1 officially paved the way for the new 49-acre multi-functional industrial facility in Alwar, Rajasthan in India. Metso is investing 30 million euros over a period of two years to establish this industrial park in India. The facility will be fully operational by the year 2010 giving an opportunity for employment to around 700 people.
