The network effect, having the largest capital market for miners and the most developed regulatory market, make Canadian lawyers the best source of legal advice when guiding projects.

Chambers argues that Latin American markets are too small to meet the needs of miners.

Even with recent stock market consolidation in Latin America, local capital markets are sometimes not sufficiently large or familiar enough with mining-related financings to provide the liquidity that Latin American mining companies require, and often foreign companies are drawn to the capital markets in Canada.
