WGC tells story of gold with launch of docuseries

Did you know that space exploration may not have been possible without the existence of gold?

A factor in spacesuits, satellites, rockets and rovers, the metal essentially powered our first steps into space since the early 1960s.

To chronicle gold’s role throughout the course of human history, the World Gold Council is launching a 5-part documentary series titled The Golden Thread, offering a front row seat to witness gold’s true role in the world.

The first episode, which has now been released, begins with gold’s vital role in man’s first expedition into the cosmos.
