Chile rejects Tianqi’s appeal for vote in SQM-Codelco lithium deal
Chile's financial regulator had allowed a planned lithium joint venture between SQM and Codelco to proceed without a vote by SQM shareholders.
The strike to demand higher wages and better working conditions started on July 19 and became one of the longest labour walkouts in the sector’s recent history. Prodeco is the Andean nation’s third-largest coal exporter.
