BATAM, INDONESIA: PT Wire Rope Training, a Batam-based provider of training and support specifically related to lifting operations, has been selected as a certified provider of health and safety training programs in Indonesia. The designation was grantedby the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and its Indonesian partner, Badan Nasional SertifikasiProfesi(BNSP).
David Vickress, the founder of Wire Rope Training, has been providing training programs specifically concentrating on wire rope and lifting gear for more than 20 years. He has a portfolio that includes development of programs for Bridon International Ltd., McDermott, Bridgeport (Canada), Carl Stahl Evita, and PT Rigspek Perkasa, and many others.
“I was determined to introduce the ECITB into Indonesia some five years ago and delighted they are now backed by the Indonesian government body BNSP,” Vickress said during a brief ceremony announcing the designation. “I am extremely pleased to be given approvals by both the ECITB and the LSP to deliver the standardised health and safety training in Indonesia and equally determined to make our contribution a success.”
