Why ‘Made in Australia’ matters to miners worldwide

Providing the clients with a versatile plant that can be simply and easily re-configured to any process from the manufacture of one product to a complete process of a range of aggregate sizes is easy and simple with the MAX Plant from Striker.

The Australian ‘brand’ in mining is recognised worldwide as a benchmark to mining methodology, equipment selection and operational expertise. Australia’s vast landscape and often hostile environment coupled with relatively high input costs has weeded out all but the most robust, cost effective and production efficient mining solutions. And this is precisely how Striker Australia emerged from the Australian landscape.

Versatility is the key. No two mines or quarries are the same. Neither are their plans, regulations, life-cycles, ore body distribution, topography, commodity prices or budgets. How do you develop a market for a standard range of machines that suits such divergent conditions and countries? Answer: You don’t. Your range of machines and ideas must be as diverse and adaptable as the countries and clients you have. This is where Strikers team has channeled their energy.

After successfully developing and adapting to the market in South East Asia and setting up a manufacturing and sales base in Malaysia, along with many dealers and partners in Asia, the Striker board of directors decided it was time to start the expansion process of products on offer is SE Asia.

The first stage of this expansion was to introduce the local markets in Asia to the new Etrac range of machines, and how they give you the best of both worlds, the low cost running of electrics and the quick set up and commissioning time for the track mounted and portable crushing and screening plant.

Initial focus was on the growing contractor and quarry market, but it was soon evident that the mining segment was where the Etrac range would shine and deliver the results and clients wanted.

Delivering results quickly in Asia is the key to supplying equipment, our customer base wanted to get mines up and running quickly to capitalise on the return on investment, “one of the key factors to our success is we understand business in Asia and are heavily focused on a “win-win” outcome for both our clients in Asia and Striker”, commented Craig Pedley Striker’s owner.

This was proven in a recent order being received from a client in Indonesia for a complete crushing, screening, processing and stacking copper heap leach plant, Striker was initially one of several companies vying for the project, and soon became the preferred supplier with our ability to offer the complete package, 300TPH track mounted crushing and screening plant, track mounted agglomeration plant, which is a very unique piece of equipment, and finally a 500m stacking circuit made up of 24m grasshopper conveyors, crossover conveyor, follower and 41m stacker. The location was a challenge with the leach pads being on various angles though that is why Striker is where it is today as we accept the challenge and find the correct solution.

Expanding globally with all services Striker can offer is the next step, SE Asia has been a great opportunity and one that is rapidly expanding with Striker products, though SE Asia isn’t far enough, they want to expand the reach to all corners of the globe!
