Existing vehicle monitoring solutions only aim to record and store IVMS data, and as a result the software is often cumbersome, requiring managers to inefficiently spend hours making sense of the data and compiling reports. The pioneering IVMS software platform, built by an in-house expert team at Track24, is user friendly and has been developed with health and safety in mind. The dashboard can be accessed via a web based log-in from anywhere in the world, allowing users to build an instant picture of critical events in real-time. Visual aids and modern charting tools make it easy to navigate while a red, amber and green ranking system ensures those responsible can quickly identify worrying patterns. Over time, the accumulated data is built into intelligence on drivers and vehicle fleets, giving managers an ongoing record of performance to maintain and analyse. The IVMS data can also be displayed visually on the software’s customized mapping, so that managers can pinpoint isolated driver infractions or understand larger trends of dangerous driving throughout an entire fleet. Management reports are automatically generated and can be scheduled to be delivered by email. Alternatively responsible staff can access the software system and view real-time reports on screen.
The data monitored by Track24’s intuitive IVMS platform demonstrates driver infractions such as: speeding, harsh breaking, over revving of the engine and seat belt use. Automatic email alerts and SMS messages can also be sent when driver violations occur, keeping safety executives one step ahead when incidents take place and giving them the means to react immediately. Over time, the ability to assess a driver can assist in modifying their overall performance and alert an organisation to whether re-training should take place or whether the driver should be replaced.
The user-friendly platform works in conjunction with Track24’s dedicated IVMS devices. Installed inside vehicles, the ‘plug and play’ IVMS Dongle and robust Rhino IVMS devices can provide critical information about vehicle usage and maintenance. As health and safety executives are often based in different locations to personnel and vehicles in the field, they are unable to inspect the vehicles first hand. By reporting straight back to the IVMS Platform, these devices bridge that knowledge gap.
The devices work via either GSM or satellite networks thereby safeguarding the system against unreliable local telecoms infrastructure in remote regions. This ensures that, even if a panic alarm is triggered in an isolated location, it will be relayed back to the security staff within seconds enabling them to swiftly launch a response. When operating in isolated regions, every second can count when saving lives.
