Three employees of Teck Resources Limited (TSX:TCK.B) (NYSE:TCK) have received non-life-threatening injuries after a flash fire at the Vancouver miner’s Greenhills operations.

The fire took place at around 11 a.m. April 5 in the dryer complex at the facility, which is located near Elkford in southeast British Columbia.

“The fire was quickly extinguished,” Teck said in a release. “All employees, visitors and contractors at site have been accounted for.”

Teck said it is not known how the fire started, and that an investigation has been launched.

The company said the incident will not have a significant impact on Greenhills’ operations. As of press time, the price of Teck shares trading on the TSX do not appear to have been affected by the fire.

This is not the first incident at Teck’s Greenhills coalmine. In June 2010, there was an explosion, also in the dryer, after which four people required treatment for smoke inhalation. At that time, the miner’s share price fell by more than 10%.
