Sulzer bringing latest pump designs and coating technology to Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia 2015

This year’s Turbomachinery and Pump Symposia, held in Houston, Texas, will see Sulzer showing the benefits of investing in the latest technology to deliver long term performance and reliability. Industry experts from the company will also be involved with the discussion groups where both visitors and exhibitors can learn more about a wide range of current issues.

The symposia, which run from September 14th – 17th at the George R. Brown Convention Center, represent an excellent opportunity for all those involved with rotating equipment to meet with industry leaders and discuss both current and future issues. Sulzer brings its worldwide engineering experience to share with visitors to the symposia on Booth No. 1609.

Sulzer provides industry leading solutions including specialist coatings that can resist corrosion and fouling, delivering improved performance in pumps and compressors. On this year’s booth, visitors will see this innovative solution applied to a compressor rotor assembly in the form of Sulzer’s HICoat® A24 Coating. This metallic-ceramic-polymer coating has been specifically formulated to provide extended service and prevent loss of efficiency.

Pumps Equipment has developed a single stage, radially split pump that offers the broadest performance range in the industry. Designed for heavy-duty applications in refineries, petro-chemical plants, gas processing and offshore oil production, the overhung, horizontal, centerline mounted pump is ideal for high-head applications. In addition, the low flow variant of the pump uses a unique low-flow impeller diffuser design that provides gap-free coverage for improved performance.

Ron Adams, Global Portfolio Manager – Petroleum for Sulzer, is a member of the Pump Advisory Committee and will take part in Discussion Group 01: Monitoring Vibration and Other Critical Machine Conditions on Tuesday 15th as well as Discussion Group P11/Panel Session: Subsea Pumps and Drivers on Wednesday 16th. In addition, Bob Davis, Advanced Engineering Manager at Sulzer, will be involved in Discussion Group P08: Vertical Pump Problems and Solutions on Tuesday 15th.

TPS continues to provide outstanding value for both exhibitors and visitors because it is organized and managed by recognized leaders within the oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation communities. As such it presents an ideal opportunity for face-to-face meetings with experts in their fields, as well as attending a large number of discussion groups led by industry experts. Sulzer welcomes everyone interested in improving the performance of their rotating equipment or looking for a professional, independent service and maintenance provider to visit the team at Booth No. 1609.
