Shell Pipeline Launches New Interactive Customer Tool

Houston, TX – On Monday, April 18, Shell Pipeline Company LP (Shell Pipeline) revealed a new, interactive online map tool that will help customers learn more about all Shell Pipeline assets and identify new business opportunities. This map, hosted on the company’s website (www.shell.us/pipeline), shows improved geographic references, pipeline capacities, origins, destinations and all the necessary contacts customers need to connect and ship with Shell Pipeline.

“We want to give our customers the option to learn more about Shell Pipeline in an easy and convenient way,” explained Shell Pipeline’s Vice President & General Manager Business Development, Kevin Nichols. “With this tool, they can see for themselves what future growth opportunities can be developed using our existing assets, and that’s the start to the conversation we need.”

This new development is in response to a customer feedback survey conducted last year by Shell Pipeline, highlighting both successful areas and those with room for improvement. The map is part of a continuous improvement initiative that Shell Pipeline has undertaken, including the roll out of Synthesis, a new Customer Portal, earlier this year and an updated tariffs website yet to come.

Asset maps are typical on pipeline company websites, but the interactive options on Shell Pipeline’s tool are what set it apart. Users will have options to add or remove layers to/from the map, zoom in and out to identify specific areas and even search for an individual offshore block.
