Pitram the focus at Underground Operators Conference
MICROMINE is excited to be exhibiting at the AusIMM Underground Operator’s Conference 2017. The annual event is celebrating its 40th year and is shaping up as one of the largest programs the conference has ever presented. It provides an opportunity for representatives and practitioners from within the underground mining space to come together to share ideas, network and discuss some of the challenges faced by the industry.
The event will be held from October 16th – 18th on the Gold Coast, Queensland which will be the events fourth visit to the Sunshine State. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Capturing the Opportunities: Communication, Collaboration, Innovation’ and includes a packed program of keynote speakers, networking opportunities, workshops and tours.
MICROMINE will be showcasing its market leading fleet management solution Pitram from booth number 54 throughout the event. Pitram is a user-friendly mine control solution that records, manages and processes mine site data in real time. Its intuitive functionality makes it ideal for any mining environment, both surface and underground. Pitram has been implemented at more underground sites than any competitor product.
Pitram Business Development Manager Chris Rowohlt said “technology is going to be a key theme at the event, so we are really excited to show how Pitram can assist underground mine site operators to increase production, reduce costs, and improve safety”.
Pitram was recently implemented at MMG’s Dugald River project in North Queensland. The successful implementation enables the control room administrators to capture live data ensuring data accuracy, increasing efficiencies and control over equipment, tasks and personnel. The solution utilises voice radio data capture, allowing production data to be entered into Pitram via radio communication.
“It has been a busy time for us with the recent Dugald River deployment and we are keen to share some of the learnings from this with the attendees at the event” Chris added.
