Indonesia curbing nickel supply to support locals, Eramet says
The French miner was this year given a sales quota by the Asian nation that was 29% less than it expected.
The miner who was injured at ALROSA’s Mir mine in early October has died in the hospital, a company spokesman said.
The injury was received during a rock collapse at the mine.
At the time of the accident, 110 workers were located in the mine. All but one of them managed to leave the mine.
The family of the worker will receive a compensation of RUB 5 million (USD 162,000), including insurance payments, ALROSA’s spokesman said.
