PERTH, AUSTRALIA – 1 November 2012: Leading provider of intuitive software solutions to the mining and exploration industry, MICROMINE, has signed a joint Academic Agreement with the Ministry of Education of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Technical University.
With a history dating back to 1920 and recognised as offering some of the most relevant, industry based courses in Tashkent, Tashkent State Technical University has undertaken this partnership with MICROMINE to endorse the use of its mine design solution, Micromine, for teaching and research purposes at the university.
Micromine is the company’s premier mine design solution, which allows for the capture, management and interpretation of critical mining and exploration data.
Particular focus will be on Micromine’s Geographical Information System (GIS) capabilities. With GIS having been identified as an important tool for the exploration and data management activities of mining companies, it will form a pivotal component of the course.
