Metal prices to lift Polish KGHM’s Q3 results – CEO

LUBIN, Poland Sept 29 (Reuters) – Europe’s number two copper producer KGHM Polska Miedz SA expects its third quarter results to be boosted by favourable metal prices, as well as currency exchange rates, its Chief Executive Officer said on Friday.

“I can say already now that the average price of copper in 2017 will be higher than $5000 per tonne planned in our budget,” Radoslaw Domagalski-Labedzki told Reuters.

“The third quarter will be good for KGHM. We notice good prices of copper and silver, as well as favourable zloty to dollar exchange rate,” he also said.

KGHM is to release its third quarter results on November 14.
