Measure the Mining Advantage at MineQuest 2016

TUCSON, ARIZONA, MARCH 1, 2016 – Hexagon’s formidable arsenal of surveying and engineering solutions will be showcased at MineQuest 2016, in Tucson, April 18-22. Powerful geospatial and geomatics products, such as total stations, GeoMoS monitoring systems, and UAVs, will feature in the annual show, which presents the latest innovations in mine planning, fleet management, and collision avoidance.

“Given the pressures facing miners today, getting it right the first time has never been more important,” said Hexagon Mining President Hélio Samora. “Our measurement technologies ensure that mines are designed, monitored, and maintained to ensure safety and profitability. They are pivotal to the integrated and innovative solutions in our life-of-mine approach and we’re looking forward to showcasing them this year.”

“Shaping the Digital Mine” is the theme of MineQuest 2016, which addresses the challenges facing the industry. Scarcer high grade ores, tightening profit margins, and more stringent safety rules are among those challenges, said Samora. “Mines face exceptional challenges for which exceptional solutions are needed. Through technology, service, and support, we embrace those challenges as our own. MineQuest embodies this partnership and through its workshops, presentations and one-on-one consultation, we will present these exceptional solutions.”

The MineQuest seminar series, which began in 1983, also appears in the following venues:

  • Australia (Perth, June 20-22)
  • Namibia (Swakopmund, June 22-24)
  • Chile (Santiago, Aug. 8-10)
  • Peru (Lima, Aug. 10-12)
