Matthew Setty Joins MWH Global as Principal Environmental Scientist

Broomfield, Colo, August 7, 2014 MWH Global, the premier solutions provider focused on water and natural resources for built infrastructure and the environment, announced the appointment of Matthew Setty to principal environmental scientist for MWH. Setty brings to MWH nearly 18 years of international experience in the hard rock mining sector. His clients are global; although, he will focus primarily on assisting clients in the Western U.S.

A specialist in the environmental and water management of hard rock mining, Setty’s broad technical expertise covers key industry disciplines including water treatment systems, environmental compliance and permitting. He has contributed to successful mining and environmental projects throughout the Western U.S., Alaska, South America and Central Asia.

Setty comes to MWH from CH2M Hill, where he was the senior environmental project manager/client manager, specializing in hydrology, baseline studies and permitting.

Setty earned a bachelor’s degree in natural resources management, hydrology and conservation biology from the University of Nevada-Reno and is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
