Huh…..I think we can instead all ride around on bicycles made of cotton candy, selling wildflowers to one another. “would you like to buy my flowers” “I have no money, you have to buy mine first” ” Ok lets trade” (insert head scratching here)

I’d feel better about this if the company was also sponsoring alternative sources of energy, like solar panel highways, etc. Sure all the money’s in oil and gas now, but they’ll be pretty screwed once the natural resources start running out. Alternative energy sources would even allow for oil and gas sources to last longer…
Regardless, if this infographic is all true, then good on them. Keep oceans safe. <3

Nice to see a bunch of generalized information instead of anything specific to the area or type of oil being transported. The issue is with the bitumen and its unique properties in an oil spill and the dangerous corridor that the tankers would have to cross regardless of compulsory pilotage. Also doesn’t mention the extremely low maximum liability a company would face in the event of a spill and the likelihood that it would be BC taxpayers stuck with the bill. I would also like to see the information behind the direct and indirect impacts of oil extraction because I imagine a good portion of that number is an indirect estimate.
You don’t believe in Money? You don’t use it I presume? Or just ignorance and hypocrisy… ? You heat your house? Drive a car? Travel by Aircraft, use goods shipped by truck? But dont want oil… hmmm
Not bright, or TOTAL hypocrit, you choose!
