Korea Zinc pulls $1.8 billion share sale plan after probe
The world’s largest zinc smelter has been caught up for months in a fight between its largest shareholders over strategy and direction.
Indonesia’s exports of refined tin jumped 21.7% in August over the corresponding month a year ago, trade ministry data showed on Wednesday.
Refined tin exports stood at 7,497.19 tonnes in August, up from 6,158.67 tonnes last year and 14.27% higher than July, the data showed.
Currently trading around $35,400 per tonne, tin is up 68% on the start of the year. Aluminum is trailing a distant second with year-to-date gains of 27%.
Physical supply chains remain super stressed and visible stocks are at record lows.
