Ian Blakley Joins RPA to Lead UK Office

Ian T. Blakley, P.Geo., has been named Vice President, General Manager—UK Operations of RPA, leading the UK office at One Fetter Lane in the City. RPA UK Ltd., formerly Roscoe Postle Associates, serves United Kingdom, European, African, Middle Eastern and Asian clients from the London City office, delivering independent timely advice and realistic assessments of risk regarding mining and geological projects.

Graham Clow, President and Chief Executive Officer of RPA, announced the appointment of Mr. Blakley. “RPA has recently increased the scope and presence in the City, where we can respond and react quickly,” he said. “Ian’s depth of experience and personal contact with our clients is strengthening RPA’s profile as the international mining and geological consultant of choice.

From the London City office, RPA provides technical advisory services to mining investors and a direct link to the TSX in Canada, including NI 43-101 compliant technical reporting. RPA also has experience in LSE and AIM listings including mineral expert, competent persons and JORC reporting. RPA is well-situated to assist mining investors with technical due diligence including auditing, reviewing mineral resource and mineral reserve estimates, mineral property valuations and compliant technical reporting.

Mr. Blakley is a principal geologist with 30 years’ experience in exploration and mining geology. He has worked on numerous base metals, precious metal, iron and industrial mineral

projects in throughout the world. He was formerly Vice President – Exploration for Altynalmas Gold Ltd., directing the company’s strategic exploration program in both brownfield and greenfield deposits in Northeastern Kazakhstan. He is a professional Geologist and member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and several other professional associations.

Mr. Blakley also had a successful two-decade career with Inco Ltd., progressing from Beat Geologist to Chief Geologist, Manitoba Operations. As Chief Geologist, he was responsible for geological activities at three operating mines, long-term mineral resource and mineral reserve planning, management of drilling programs, staff hiring, training, and supervision.
