Barrick touts ‘world-class’ potential of Fourmile project with significant resource boost
For the next stage of the Fourmile project, Barrick plans to start a three-year prefeasibility study in 2025.
Harmony Gold Mining Co. said yesterday that workers barricaded the entrance to its Kusasalethu mine on the West Rand keeping mine operations shuttered.
Company spokesperson Marian van der Walt said that despite the barricade, the strike movement, which counts nearly all of the mine’s 5,400 workers, remained non-violent.
Van der Walt added that company management does not intend to penalize striking workers.
