A fraught election just reshaped the next steps for deep sea mining
Brazilian oceanographer Leticia Carvalho has been elected the next secretary-general of the ISA, a leadership change that could slow the rush to strip-mine deep sea ecosystems.
UnderGround Force offers a complete line of underground mine support equipment. This line encompasses over 12 products and will be an extension of the current Ground Force line.
One of our key products for this line will be the UGF20 Underground Motor Grader. Utilizing the CAT® 120K and 120M as a base machine have allowed us to hold the same high quality and reliability as Cat® provides, but with a revolutionary new design, providing the customer with a machine that is unmatched. This machine offers increased performance, visibility and efficiencies well suited for underground mining conditions.
Underground Force will offer two motor grader options, as well as several configurations of open and closed deck personnel carriers, fuel and lube trucks, water trucks, cable reel trucks and numerous other products currently held in the Ground Force product line.

MINExpo 2012, was the official launch of this product line and gave us the opportunity to showcase our first UGF20 Motor Grader and Personnel Carrier in front of over 45,000 attendees and VIP visitors, such as Doug Oberhelman, President and CEO of Caterpillar® and the Caterpillar® Board of Directors. Currently, we sell into over 45 countries; this new product line will be available worldwide. Ground Force currently operates from 4 factories worldwide with plans for two more locations, Peru and Australia in 2013.
