Gekko Systems, a global leader in cutting-edge mineral processing technologies, has opened the application process for its 2015 Graduate Engineering Program.

Following the successful conclusion of the inaugural Graduate Program in 2012, the company has embarked on a new, extended three-year program to commence mid-September.

The holistic program is designed to give participants experience across all aspects of the mining industry. Each module is delivered over a six-month period and includes areas such as Lab Testing, Design, Technology and Detoxification, Corporate and Site Operations, Spares Management, Sales Operations and Global Office Management.

Mentoring is one of the most beneficial elements of the course. Participants have the opportunity to share their experience and have one-on-one meetings with a mentor and ask for advice or clarification about any of the modules.

In addition to the comprehensive curriculum, the Graduate Program has a strong focus on inter-personal relationships and soft-skill development. Gekko recognises that the key to a company’s success is not in its technical achievements but in the positive communication between employees, management, customers and suppliers.

The program is based in Australia, Canada, and South Africa and applicants who have received tertiary qualifications within the last five years in metallurgy or chemical engineering, are encouraged to apply.
