Galaxy Broadband announces long term agreement for Ka-band capacity on Telesat’s Anik F2 satellite

May 28, 2015 ―Mississauga, Ontario – Galaxy Broadband Communications Inc. (Galaxy Broadband), a Canadian satellite communications company that provides IP networks to the Resource, Government, and Enterprise markets in North America, announced today that it has signed long term capacity agreements with Telesat for multiple transponder equivalents of Ka-band space segment on Telesat’s Anik F2 satellite to support business growth in Canada’s northern markets. With this latest contract, Galaxy Broadband has become one of Telesat’s leading customers for Ka-band capacity serving Canada’s North.

Galaxy Broadband specializes in delivering high quality, enterprise-grade communications to oil and gas, mining, construction, and pipeline markets in North America. Combined with previously contracted space on Telesat’s Anik F3 satellite, Galaxy Broadband has now secured high performing Ka-band coverage for the long term to serve the North and Far North regions of Canada.
