FLSmidth appoints new VP of Systems


As FLSmidth continues to strengthen its leadership and positioning in the marketplace, the company recently hired and appointed Jim Liporace as Vice President of Systems in the company’s Minerals division.

Jim has been relocated to FLSmidth’s Minerals headquarters located in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and will report directly into Manfred Schaffer, President of the Minerals division.

Jim’s responsibilities at FLSmidth include realizing improvements in systems/project structures and processes, overseeing project sales and proposal support, and developing a sustainable growth strategy for the global Minerals projects portfolio.

Jim’s professional background includes several senior leadership positions in the energy, manufacturing, technology and defense industries. Prior to joining FLSmidth in February, Jim served as Vice President – Project Management & Operations with Crowley Maritime. Previous to that, he was Director of Projects at Cameron in Houston, and also held various positions in project management while working with General Electric.
