Learn to resolve environmental and social conflict
EduMine and the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) at the University of Queensland (Australia) have developed a new, exciting partnership of collaboration for professional development. Our first collaborative project will take place this February: a new three-session webcast entitled Environmental and Social Conflict Resolution in the Resources Sector.
And here is why you should take it:
- This webcast covers both strategic and procedural ways of preventing and resolving environmental and social conflicts based on a broad range of applied research conducted for the past decade by the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining.

- The SMI is the largest research centre of its kind in the world focused on sustainability science and practice in the extractive industries.
- The Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining is one of seven centres within SMI and has pioneered techniques in social impact assessment and conducted research for companies, governments and multilateral development donors.
