Globe 24-7 Inc., once again demonstrating its commitment, expertise and interest in the mining industry on a worldwide level, participated in the Gold Symposium in Medellin Colombia from the 14th and 15th of November 2017. The Symposium was organized by renowned Journalist Paul Harris who has more than 17 years of experience in the mining industry.
The event had a national and international audience and was seeking to re-establish Colombia as an objective market for international investments in mining. This was also an opportunity to obtain updated information of all exploration and development projects in Colombia and Ecuador. Besides practical information on topics such as concessions requests, prior consultations, permits and environmental licenses, the Symposium also dealt with important themes such as community relationships, environmental management, and post-conflict. It was a forum to discuss the most urgent issues affecting the mining industry in Colombia and to suggest effective solutions with the relevant governmental agencies.
In comparison to last year the event had a higher demand and there were key Stakeholders from the Mining Industry (CEOs, COOs, Investors, Government) showing that the Industry is recovering in comparison to previous years. It is definitely a very good Event to understand the reality of the Mining Industry in the Country and a place where companies and people dedicated to the Industry should be at. This year, the Event had also Booths from key players in the industry as well as Meeting rooms for private conversations. Besides there were other scenarios to do Networking such as Lunch in the 8th Floor of the San Fernando Plaza Hotel, Coffee breaks and Cocktails Sessions.
It was a very good event to meet known people from the industry and see that there is still a lot of potential and undiscovered minerals in the industry which needs to be developed in the country as long as Companies and Government are aligned in doing responsible mining together with Communities acceptance and approval of the projects.
