Coalview announces commissioning of Centralia plant

Coalview Ltd., LLC (“Coalview”) America’s leading fully integrated coal technology and fine coal recovery company providing technology and environmental solutions for mining property owners, is pleased to announce that it is successfully commissioning its Coalview Centralia fine coal recovery (FCR) plant. Full commissioning is on schedule, and the plant has experienced regular slurry and coal processing since the first week of December.

“We are pleased with the progress our team has made at Centralia”

“We are pleased with the progress our team has made at Centralia,” stated Roger Fish, CEO of Coalview. “As we continue to scale up and fine tune the plant, we expect to demonstrate the plant will meet its production estimates as forecasted.”

The Coalview Centralia plant is a $42 million investment for the company to provide the cleaning and evacuation of more than 18 million tons of slurry material, stored in the impoundment structures at the Centralia Coal Mine. Upon completion of slurry processing, a large scale environmental program will commence allowing the post-mining land use to include upland forestry, lowland forest (wetland, riparian, fish and wildlife habitat), pastureland, and industrial land.

The Centralia plant produces fine coal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and currently employs 23 people.
