CAMESE and the Canadian Embassy to Russia are seeking your interest in participating in a mining trade mission to Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the margins of “Uz-MiningExpo-2017” trade show from March 15 to 17, 2017. The mission program is developed with the participation of the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA).

The mission will mainly focus on business opportunities in the gold mining sector in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has large mineral reserves, the most notable minerals are gold, copper, and uranium. Uzbekistan’s significant reserves of gold are estimated to a total of 5,300 metric tons in 33 primary gold deposits.

Main opportunities for Canadian companies and suppliers are:

    • Crushing, screening, drilling, digging equipment solutions;
    • Transportation and storage of bulk materials, parts and components for mining machinery;
    • Various mining vehicles and earth-moving equipment;
    • Processing equipment, equipment for tunneling, mining security equipment and technology;
    • Conveyor systems;
    • Technologies for deep exploration;
    • Adaptation of modern technologies in geophysics, geochemistry and 3D modelling;
    • Training of personal in geo exploration technologies;
    • Adaption of modern technologies for ore processing;
    • Various mineral exploration services and equipment.

The Canadian Embassy is working closely with the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and local industry stakeholders to maximize networking and business opportunities for Canadian participants. The mission format will consist in a two-day program, with a possible mining site visit. Canadian participants will have the chance to meet and present their products, technologies and/or services to decision-makers from the two major gold mining companies Almalyk Mining Corporation (AGMK) and Navoi Mining Corporation (NGMK), from the Muruntau gold deposit as well as from the Committee on Geology and Mineral Resources of Uzbekistan.

Given the lead time required to secure B2B meetings, reserve hotel accommodation in Tashkent and apply for visas, we would appreciate receiving an early indication by December 15 on your intention to participate in this mining mission to Uzbekistan.
