BNA-MICROMINE Takes Top Engineering Award in Brazil

PERTH, AUSTRALIA & BELO HORIZONTE, BRAZIL – 3 October 2012: Leading provider of intuitive software solutions to the mining and exploration industry, BNA-MICROMINE has been honored for the second consecutive year at the 5th Top Engineering Awards 2012 in Minas Tenis Clube II, Belo Horizonte/MG.

BNA-MICROMINE Latin America Director Beck Nader received the trophy in the category of Engineering Mining / Metals / Steel – Software of Exploration, Geology / Production Control of Mines.

For this award, successful companies were elected by direct research (Contest Ltda.), which heard from engineers associated to AEAEE-UFMG, each with different areas of expertise. Also electing were key decision makers and Directors from leading industry sectors.

Commenting on the award, Mr Nader says “Success in this award category really symbolises what has been a successful year for BNA-MICROMINE. In consultation with our clients, we have made a number of investments in the company and this award signifies these strategies are working”.

Formerly trading as BNA Consultoria e Sistemas, an agent of MICROMINE, BNA recently become a fully owned office of MICROMINE, with the priority of placing the Micromine products into the Brazilian market. Most recently, both the Brazil and Chile offices started promoting MICROMINE’s mine production and management solution, Pitram to the local mining and exploration community.

In August 2012, MICROMINE reinforced its position as a preferred supplier of software solutions to existing clients in Brazil. Local consultants performed research on existing Micromine users in Brazil. It was revealed that 100% of all Micromine clients interviewed were recommending the solution to other companies.
