Tres Amigos mine, a part of the Caballo Blanco Group of mines, has resumed operations after it was shut down following the incident.
Barrick Gold could be penalized for not meeting environmental regulations and causing harm to glaciers in the region of its Pascua Lama mining project in Chile.
