May, 2016 – In 1960, Atlas Copco launched its first model in the Simba series and it became famous for its reliability and robustness. Since then, the Simba has been developed into a fully automation ready production drill with world-class precision. Automation enhances the overall productivity by allowing operations through shift changes and breaks.
”The winning concept is the combination of the since long developed control system RCS, the integrated angle instrument and the automated software options. Together, this is what makes it possible for the rig to adapt according to rock condition as well as to drill with high precision”, says Mikael Larslin, Product Manager.
Yet, there is more to expect from the machine: Safety precautions, like automatic drill stoppage that prevents accidents and ensures high security for both the machine and the personnel. To manifest the high precision of Simba S7, it is launched through a video that shows the machine taking on The Butterfly Trick Shot, one of the hardest pool trick shots in the world – which also requires the highest degree of precision.
”Simba S7 increases flexibility and precision while the operator-friendly work environment ensures safety and work satisfaction. Simba is the art of engineering, precision and automation combined in one machine. This is really a game changer”, says Mikael Larslin.
The Simba S7 completes the range of Simbas and there is now a Simba model to fit all mining applications. The Simba S7 is now available on all markets.
