Anti-Corruption for Mining Suppliers Short Course – Protect Yourself, Protect Your Company

A third party or an employee being involved in a corrupt activity towards a foreign government official without your knowledge can lead to you facing jail time in Canada and substantial financial penalties for your company. It is for this reason that CAMESE has arranged with the Telfer School of Business to present this vital short course at the CAMESE Forum.

As one part of the morning program of Day One (November 4th) at the CAMESE Forum, the Telfer School of Business will be offering The Anti-Corruption for Mining Suppliers Short Course. The course covers: 1) The Anti-Corruption movement and the CFPOA, 2) Red flags of Corruption in emerging markets and 3) Anti-Corruption Best Practises.

Short course attendees are also able to participate in the rest of the day’s program at the conclusion of the course. The remainder of the program is as follows:

Day One (November 4th) continues with a luncheon and a presentation by a mining executive speaker, followed by discussion roundtables where you can learn about how the following organizations can help you: Trade Commission of Chile,  Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation, CSA Group, Global Mining Standards Group and Export Development Canada. Others have been invited and the final list will be available at the event.

Day One (November 4th) will finish with a networking reception sponsored by the Trade Commission of Chile.

The forum will take place at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa, 8500 Warden Ave, Markham, ON L6G 1A5.
