AIVN update

WINNEMUCCA, NV–(Marketwire – Aug 17, 2012) – American International Ventures, Inc. (OTCBB: AIVN) (OTCQB: AIVN) announced today its pilot program geared at establishing the feasibility of a 250 ton per hour commercial mining operation at the Nick Mine is underway. Tucker White, President of AIVN, stated: “We are getting good placer gold recovery at over 18ft in depth and plan to run 80 yards a day for the next ten days, equaling 1000 tons. We are expecting to recover + or – 2 grams per ton.” Mr. White also pumped the watered lower adit during setup and will take ore samples today using Skyray’s XRF spectrometer, calibrated specifically for Au, Ag, and Cu analysis and assay values on site.

AIVN’s Advantage

The use of dispersive x-ray fluorescent spectrometers by AIVN’s geology staff has enabled the AIVN staff to locate and quickly determine the inferred value of an existing historical mine, quickly and far more efficiently than older, time consuming, labor intensive assay methods, where large amounts of ore samplings are required on site. For more information on our EDX Pocket III spectrometer, click below.

AIVN proudly holds itself out as an industry leader when it comes to identifying the best past producing mines containing large undisturbed mineral deposits of precious metals insitu; ready to re-activate as a commercial mine since being closed by the War Act in 1942. AIVN’s collection of past proven producers found in Nevada have established its ability to identify and transform these historic mining gems into fully modern commercial mining operations; able to produce 2500 + tons per day with decent gold recovery values.

At present, AIVN has a robust collection of mines to develop in Nevada. Golden Eagle Mines in Winnemucca, the Beatty Bullfrog Mines in Beatty, El Tule Canyon mines, the Stud and TNT mines located with the Capatola and Indian Mines in Hawthorne, and the Rabbit Hole and Placeritas mines in Imlay, NV.

AIVN continues to acquire mines in Nevada. Recently, AIVN acquired the American Metallic mine in Goldfield and the North Star mine in Tonopah, Nevada.

The company has taken an option to purchase the Nick Mine in Imlay, and given options to purchase on its Bruner Mine in Nye County, and its Gypsy and Hot Springs Mines in Douglas County, NV.
