Veolia Water is nominated water company of the year at GWI Global Water Awards 2008

Veolia Water has been chosen Water Company of the Year at the GWI Global Water Awards 2008 event held in London recently.

Recognized for its outstanding commitment to providing water and wastewater treatment services and technologies around the world, Veolia Water was nominated winner through votes cast by members of the International Desalination Association, the International Private Water Association, and Global Water Intelligence magazine for the international water market.

The Water Company of the Year Award was handed to Antoine Frérot, Chief Executive Officer of Veolia Water by Mohammad Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, and is one of 11 GWI Awards for companies serving this market. Prizes are awarded on the basis of innovation and the commitment of companies and organizations working to guarantee water resources for all future generations.
