Mining’s old guard needs strong medicine
A new report details subpar investor returns in the mining industry over the last decade, particularly big cap diversified companies which have not adapted to new realities.
Cambridge House is holding its twentieth conference in Vancouver this year.
This year’s conference runs from Sunday to Monday at the Vancouver Convention Centre West from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Cambridge House says that the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference is the world’s largest resource investment conference dedicated to resource exploration.
Jay Martin, president of Cambridge House, says the first conference was named the Diamond Investment Conference in 1993 at the Vancouver Hotel. The name Cambridge House was added later.
“The first show was probably seven or eight companies. Cambridge hit its largest show in 2011 with over 500 exhibiting companies,” says Martin.
Cambridge House is now the largest annual client of the Vancouver Convention Centre.
