Using Excel spreadsheets for the exact opposite of financial analysis

Meet Tatsuo Horiuchi, the 73-year old Japanese Excel spreadsheet artist.

Thirteen years ago, Horiuchi began looking for a new challenge. Though he had no prior experience with Excel, when he saw others using spreadsheets he thought: “I could probably draw with that.”

And he was correct: he’s won awards and some of his work has been purchased by his local art museum in Gunma.
