Update on global mining projects, from prefeasibility through to established mine expansions

The latest issue International Mining’s fortnightly project watch is available with this issue covering 25 prefeasibility studies,18 feasibilities, news of 34 projects in development, four that have gone into production in the past two weeks and 10 mines that are expanding, as well as news of eight mergers or acquisitions and dozens of personnel moves. The reports cover 36 operations in gold; 14 copper; eight each in nickel and iron ore; seven each in potash and silver; six coal; four each of uranium and molybdenum; three of each in tungsten, vanadium, phosphate and magnetite; two of each in heavy mineral sands, aluminium and cobalt; and one of each of precious metals, frac sands, titanium, fluorspar, tantalum, niobium, lithium, bauxite, zinc, bismuth, manganese, diamonds, rutile and ilmenite.   (more…)
