QUEENSLAND coal mining magnate and former Macarthur Coal chief Ken Talbot has taken out the Dealer of the Year award at a packed gala dinner on the last night of Diggers & Dealers in Kalgoorlie.
Talbot was recognised for yielding a substantial premium for his shares in Macarthur Coal.
In mid-2008, Talbot received and accepted an offer for his shareholding in excess of $A21 per share.
Iron ore junior Atlas Iron won the Diggers of the Year award.
