Business Mirror reports, that St. Augustine Gold and Copper Ltd. (SAGC) donated backpacks, notebooks and school supplies to over 1,000 public school students in Pantukan (Philippines). The company also signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) to build a work force for SAGC’s projects in the country.
“SAGC believes in investing in a better future for the community through programs that support education at all levels,” said Clyde Gillespie, director for Environment and Permitting of SAGC.
“The Tesda partnership is a big step toward our goal of having one of the best trained, highly motivated work forces in the country,” Gillespie said. “Ultimately this will not only be good for our project, it will also bring many benefits to the people of Pantukan and the surrounding areas.”
