SSR’s Marigold mine reaches 4Moz milestone

SSR Mining (NASDAQ, TSX: SSRM) announced Monday that its Marigold mine in Nevada has achieved another major milestone, reaching production of 4 million ounces of gold on June 30, 2020.
The Marigold mine, located on the Battle Mountain-Eureka trend in Humboldt County, Nevada, has been in continuous operation since 1989. Last year, the mine produced a record 220,227 ounces.
SSR is currently advancing several exploration targets across its Marigold, Valmy, and Trenton Canyon land packages, which it believes have the potential to increase mineral resources.
With the recent promising sulphide ore intercepts at Trenton Canyon, the Marigold mine continues to demonstrate its exploration potential and longevity, the company says.
SSR has also increased its 2020 exploration budget for Marigold by $2 million to $14 million to accelerate reverse circulation and diamond drilling at the Trenton Canyon discovery.
The Marigold mine is one of three producing operations owned by SSR along with the Seabee gold operation in Saskatchewan and the Puna operations in Jujuy, Argentina.
