Boliden’s Q2 earnings disappoint despite near fivefold rise
The miner said higher metal prices boosted its earnings, while lower treatment charges and metal premiums weighed on the result.
South Korean utility Korea Midland Power (Komipo) has bought three Capesizes of NAR 5,900kcal/kg coal South African coal and one Capesize of the same-specification Canadian coal for about $114/t each and $118/t, respectively.
All shipments are on a fob and NAR 6,080kcal/kg basis, and are to be delivered from October to December. The utility had originally sought only 260,000t of at least NAR 5,700kcal/kg coal.
