Mining industry legends discuss the backstories on their multibillion-dollar successes.
Global financial information provider SNL continues to expand into the mining sector as it announced Wednesday it has acquired Toronto-based resource sector information and reports provider IntierraRMG.
The move comes only a year after the firm took over another Canadian company, Halifax -based Metals Economics Group.
As part of the announcement the company said SNL Metals Economics Group will now be known as SNL Metals & Mining.
Following the many enhancements SNL has made to its mining information platform in the past year, the addition of IntierraRMG marks yet another major step forward in the breadth, depth and quality of information we can deliver to clients,” said SNL Metals & Mining Director, Jason Goulden, in a statement.
“We plan to integrate our two databases and support IntierraRMG’s other business lines that are new to SNL, including strategic consulting, region-specific conferences and educational seminars,” he added.
Through this acquisition, SNL has also expanded its global footprint to Perth, Stockholm, Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto.
