SGS opens new sample preparation laboratory in Guerrero, Mexico

SGS is pleased to announce the opening of a new sample preparation facility in Guerrero, Mexico to service the growing needs of the minerals exploration industry.

The Guerrero facility will offer exploration sample preparation and feed samples into SGS’ full service laboratory in Durango, Mexico. The site is well equipped and has the capabilities for crushing, pulverizing, oven-drying and dust collection. The Guerrero laboratory will also function as a gateway to other SGS services and will submit samples to other SGS labs in North America as needed. The facility will be fully operational and ready to accept samples in early July.

Our new preparation laboratory complements SGS Minerals Services’ existing geochemical and metallurgical facility in Durango and further expands our broad network of commercial labs around the world.  SGS offers a wide range of services to the minerals sector including geochemical analysis, resource calculation, mineralogy, metallurgy, advanced systems, water treatment and trade services.  For further information regarding these and other SGS services, please visit our website www.sgs.com/minerals.
