The fleet of “mint-condition” concrete pump trucks and other concrete pumping equipment will be sold in five unreserved auctions across the US
FORT WORTH, TX, April 29 /CNW/ – Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX: RBA), the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, will sell more than 160 concrete pump trucks at five unreserved auctions as part of a complete dispersal of the former assets of Pumpco Inc. The huge fleet of concrete pump trucks will be sold with no minimum bids or reserve prices at upcoming unreserved auctions scheduled in May and June, 2009 at the Company’s permanent auction sites in Fort Worth, Orlando, Nashville, Houston and Atlanta. The majority of the pumps are mounted on a Mack chassis and manufactured by Putzmeister, Schwing and Concord. There will also be a large quantity of other concrete pumping equipment sold at each of the five auction sales.
“These concrete pump trucks are in very good ‘work-ready’ condition and have been exceptionally well maintained,” said Wade Whitenburg, National Accounts Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. “Ritchie Bros. will be supplying interested bidders with the equipment records for each of these concrete pump trucks at our auction sites. As well, former Pumpco employees will be providing concrete pump truck demonstrations in the yards the week prior to each auction. This will allow prospective buyers to determine the condition of these pump trucks for themselves.”
Each unreserved auction will be open to the public and registration to bid is free. Internet bidders must register online before auction day at www.rbauction.com. First-time internet bidders are strongly encouraged to register 2-3 days in advance of each auction. Interested buyers can visit the yard at each auction site a week in advance of auction day to preview the equipment and watch concrete pump truck demonstrations. Further information and details (including photos) of the concrete pump trucks being sold in each auction are available on the Ritchie Bros. web site at www.rbauction.com.
